A maximum power of 525 hp @ 6800 rpm and a torque of 630 Nm @ 5200 rpm are generated by the V8 engine found in the SL 63 AMG. The SL 600 variant is powered by V12 engine, delivering a power of 517 hp @ 5000 rpm and maximum torque of 830 Nm @ 1900-3500 rpm. The engine is designed to consume less fuel and deliver good performance, with reduced exhaust emissions.
